Fight Holiday Fatigue

The holidays can bring on unwanted stress and fatigue. Follow these tips to avoid over exerting yourself.

Plan ahead for activities such as shopping, cooking and travel.

  • Make lists
  • Coordinate with family members
  • Shop online
  • Pre-prepare foods

Pace yourself. Only do as much as you can tolerate without trying to fight through fatigue.

Delegate tasks to family members, friends or other community members.

  • It is okay to say “no.”
  • Recruit grandchildren to wrap gifts or  bring food items to meals.
  • Monitor your diet, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
  • Be sure to rest and make time for sleep.
  • Relax and enjoy the holiday season!
